Retirement has given me the opportunity to spend time with a camera in my hand.

After living in the rat race for the past 50 years, I know I can now pick and choose what I would like to do with my time. My two passions are playing senior softball and photography.

I was fortunate to spend my last 25+ years of employment at Bishop Hendricken High School as its Chief Financial Officer. While that was challenging, being part of the community gave me a chance to grab my camera, walk down to the athletic fields or gyms and take photos of our students competing. I enjoyed the challenge of sports photography and they enjoyed seeing themselves.

With my passion for softball and sports in general I had a huge advantage over most other sports/event photographers, I knew what to anticipate and I knew where the action was likely to be. In May 2022 I realized a retirement goal by being asked to do Event Photography for Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence , RI. The assignments will give me an opportunity to spend meaningful time working close to the greatest subjects anyone could choose, while working to provide financial resources so that all animals at the zoo will be adequately fed, cared for, protected, and housed.
